Resin bases
Here are the first molds
I made these from a two part silicone putty, the best thing about the putty is that it doesn't slump an so i didn't need to make a container to pour into.
the putty has the consistency of hot wax and only takes about five Min's to cure, i placed my master on a plastic bag and pushed the mixed putty firmly over it then placed a second master face down on top pulling the excess up around the sides finally another bag was placed on top and flattened out (i used a spray can lid) to create double sided molds, don't push down too hard as if the silicone gets too thin in the middle it will tear with use.
These are the first casts the ork skull and flesh tearer symbol are to be used as objective markers.
this is my very first cast base painted up and used with the berserkers i have been working on i quite like it

Basing
These are made from polly filla which i rolled out between two sheets of plastic then the top sheet is peeled of before it dries.
Snap the dryed slab into interesting shapes and saw the lines in with a razor saw.
i have some fast cast resin on order so will cast up the more successful attempts, i also want to do some objective and wound counters.

Other projects
Haveing 1750 pts of Flesh Tearers to a basic table standard my mind wanders to the upcoming five nations torney i will be attending as part of the barbarian team.
these boys are from eba,y they had a pretty bad black and silver job on them but lucky not to thick so i pulled them appart and cleaned the flash then hit them with a scab red coat from the air brush.
will finnish of in the same way as my Tearers, these will be the first foot troops i have done with the air brush.

One of my razorbacks, they have a choice of weapons available.
the red was applyed over a black undercoat useing my new airbrush. Realy pleased with the results, smooth and even with a good coverage useing two coats one of scab red and one of blood red. this might allow me to paint these up in time for warp storm 2 at Maelstrom.
